Butyl rubber and EPDM liners (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber) are special formulations of hard and long wearing synthetic rubber. They are used to line certain types of cold water storage tanks, those of which coating the tank is not suitable.
Your cold water tank may require this type of rubber lining if it is a corrugated cold water tank or a sprinkler cold water storage tank. In many cases these water tanks can only be relined using rubber.
At Tank Reline, we have specialist experience in relining all different types of water storage tanks using high quality butyl liners and EPDM tank lining.
During the water tank relining or lining process, your Tank Reline engineer/s will either line your water storage tank for the first time or remove the failed lining and then reline the tank. During the relining process we will carry out a full installation service. During this service we will remove the old liner completely; including the fixings associated with it. We will then replace the lining alongside all the bolts, fixtures and fittings.
Your new high quality Butyl liner or EPDM tank liner will be fitted on top of a Polyfelt matting layer. This creates a further layer of protection for your water tank. As with every water tank service we provide, we will carry out a final visual inspection before carrying out the relining process.
Water tank relining offers a cost effective solution for your facilities. It is a lot cheaper than replacing the water tank entirely.
